HIKING SUNSET PEAK IN HONG KONG

One of the best hikes in Hong Kong!

Sunset Peak, also known as Tai Tung Shan is Hong Kong’s third highest peak and provides some amazing hiking and nature experiences in Hong Kong. The mountain is located on Lantau Island which is also home to the International Airport. After jumping on the MTR to Tung Chung and a quick taxi ride, we start our hike up to the peak along the Lantau Trail. Hiking up, we pass through a sea of lush silver grass and the remains of small British missionary huts. Finally, we reach the top ridge of the peak which gives us some ridiculous views of Discovery Bay, The Big Buddha and the airport. Join the team and J Lou as we put on our hiking boots and scale up way too many steps to enjoy one of the best views in Hong Kong. It’s all here in our latest episode of Outsider, our original travel video series dedicated to awesome hikes and nature experiences.
